Jon Abbott

Jon grew up in Sydney where he completed an apprenticeship in Horticulture, working in parks and gardens and wholesale nurseries. He moved to the region in 2002 as a Teacher at Lithgow High School, where he taught Science, Agriculture and Primary Industries. An interest in agriculture, lead to the purchase of a small acreage block just outside of Bathurst where the family runs a Corriedale sheep stud, horses, poultry and lots of dogs.

Jon is also the secretary of the NSW branch of the Australian Corriedale association.
19 years of teaching, involvement in dog trialling, Sheep shows, Pony Club and Greater Western Kennel and Obedience Clubs have enabled Jon to be known within the community.
